Hi, my name is Geof. After a rewarding career as an Architect developing technical models and spatial designs, I recently relocated to the beautiful community of Cavendish, Vermont.

With this move,I have transitioned into a hands-on semi-retirement. I founded Barter Home Projects to bring my decades of architectural experience directly to local homeowners who need creative, practical solutions for their spaces.

I have always been a passionate, hands-on DIY builder. I love bridging the gap between big-picture design concepts and the real-world sawdust and structure of building them. Because I focus entirely on smaller independent projects, I am available for the jobs that are often too small for large architecture firms but require more technical design skill than a standard handyman.

Whether you need permit-ready drawings for a home addition, a smart layout for custom garage or mudroom shelving, or a creative second opinion on a renovation plan, I treat every project with a craftsman's eye for detail.

When I am not sketching out layouts or working in the shop, you can usually find me out exploring Vermonts incredible mountain biking trails or baking fresh s bread at home.
